We are offically out of our old place now. We got the last of our things moved today, cleaned the place up and turned in the keys to the landlord. There is something about closing a part of your life. A job, a home, a school, whatever. All kinds of feelings run through you.
As I made the final walk through today I remembered how excited we were when we got the house. It was just what we wanted. A good size place with lots of storage spaces and a closed in front porch for Lew. He didn't smoke in the house so that was his place. The girls each had their own rooms for the first time. It was in a neighborhood where the kids could play and ride bikes. I really liked it a lot. The rent was way to high and they wouldn't sell it to us so we were lookin for a new place.
My sister and her husband have a rental house with 4 bedrooms so now Eliza has her own room too. The road is a lot busier and the yard is much smaller. All of the homes on this street are owned by James's (hubby) family so we know them all. It's good to be close to family. We are paying a lot less rent and I'm pretty sure if we get behind the landlord will work with us.
So a new page to write the next chapter of our lives. This will be the only home Eliza will remember and hopefully we will not move again anytime soon.
