Colts fans outside of the US! (2 Ratings)

Posted 11-2-2009 by michamat

Hey Colts fans! Just wanted to know a little more about something. As this site grows, it's great for me to see all of the people we get from outside of the United States. I love my Colts as much as anybody else on this site does, and to see a team who is only 2 hours from my house in Fort Wayne, Indiana being liked by people from hours, and oceans away, is pretty cool. My question is, and it can be answered by anybody, whether you are a fan outside of the US, or not, if you have any information, is how a lot of you heard about the Colts? Yes, it might seem a little wierd, cause I do know that you can root for teams outside of your own country, considering the fact that I love the sport of soccer, and I love some of the teams from around the world, but just curious about that. I guess another question would be, is how a lot of you guys from outside of the US stay in touch with how our Colts are doing, or any other NFL team. Again, I understand that this site is a great way to do that, and that there is internet sites, but do they have an NFL game on each week, or something like that. I know they televise soccer games from out of the country on ESPN and stuff, but they probably don't show as much as they would in other countries. So, I was just wondering about a lot of that stuff, because I'm loving the way the Colts, and also the NFL is growing to different countries, but just wanted to know and understand the perspective you get on the sport. Thank you everybody and GO COLTS!

i'm from ireland and started watching the nfl about 10 yeras ago. my bro is a 49ers fan and he got me into it and not wanting to follow the same team as him i decided to take my time and watch as much nfl as i could before i decided. in 2001 i just kinda started leaning more and more towards the colts and really liked a certain qb mr peyton manning and decided from then on my life long allegiance is the colts. so here i am in 2009 and still haven't got over to indy to see a game but really hoping to make it over next season. till then i can only catch the nfl double header every sunday, but the colts aren't live on sky sports till next year.

It is easy to be a fan of the Colts wherever you live. They are a class act, with Tony Dungy, Jim Caldwell, Peyton Manning, and the entire Colts players and staff. They make you feel good about the team and the high standards they have. They are good roll models for children. To bad some adults can't take a page from them....lol

I think it is great too. I am in Indy and was a 49er fan before the Colts came to town, after we had our own team I decided to follow them

I first became interested in the Colts when I learned about this guy called Tony Dungy....he seemed to be a man that I would like to know more about.  it was also during the time when the Pacers were making bad decisions off the court.  They were not men that I wanted my son to look up to.  So I was looking for men that would be good role models....the Colts and Coach Dungy fit that bill.  I started following them a little more and really got to "know" them through the media.  Now because of what they stand for OFF the field, they have a fan for life.  Hope they never change who they are and what they stand for OFF the field

I started following the Colts in or around 1986....I use to follow the Bears.....before the Colts game to town.  It's nice to see all the fans from all over!!
