We are almost half way though the pre season, and gearing up for the regular season. i wanted to share my thoughts on the way i see the roster breaking down, and a look at each position. OFFENSE-QB- PEYTON is the best!!!  SORGI has gotten some very valuable reps this pre season, and is better prepared than ever...GRAY- he has looked very good, and i think will make the team, at least to open the season..................RB'S- ADDAI-he has been very good his first 2 years, made the pro bowl last year, but he hasnt had his breakout season, i think either this year, or next, he will!  RHODES- having him back with his experience is huge.  HART- an outstanding runner, and all around player...................TE- DALLAS- very underrated, as good as there is the the league.  ROBINSON-he had a great college career, but i didnt know he was a starter until i saw the first pre season game, and he has looked very good.  TAMME- polian just keeps finding these guys, i think hes going to be very good.   SANTI- dont know too much about him, since he has been injured .......................WR-MARV-isnt it great to have him back!! and i think he is going to have a great year!!.  REGGIE-as good as there is the league, and has gotten better every year.  GONZO- played great last year, and will be even better this year...HALL-missed all last year, has great size.  GARCON- has been the surprise of camp, great athlete.............C-SATURDAY- the best!!.  JUSTICE- among the trio of draft picks, who can and will play at multiple positions....................G-LILJA-i am very glad he was re signed, one of the better guards in the league.  POLLACK- i think he will most likely start the year, and is going to be an outstanding player, but it could be JOHNSON.  RICHARD-another of the trio of draft picks............T-UGOH- played very well for a rookie left tackle, and will be even better.  DIEM-very good right tackle........if johnson doesnt start at guard, he will be the primary backup at tackle.................................................................................................DEFENSE-DE-we are a different defense with one of the most dominating de's in the game-FREENEY, we really missed him.  MATHIS-an outstanding player, and a great pass rusher.  BROCK-has moved back to the outside, and will move inside on passing plays.  HOWARD- i think we got what we were looking for, a mathis clone (size -wise), and looks like the real deal.  THOMAS- a solid player, who continues to improve his game......................DT-JOHNSON-great rookie year, and as we know , players in their second year, in this system usually improve dramatically.  DAWSON- another rookie last year, who played well, and will be even better.  FOSTER- another great find by the scouting dept, and another undrafted rookie free agent from rutgers (ever heard of brackett). REID- one of the better special team players in the league, and a very good player................LB-BRACKETT- had a great year last year, excels vs the run and pass, our leader on defense, and a team captain. WHEELER- another draft pick, who i havent seen much of. KEIAHO- excellent player, one of our leading tacklers.  SESSIONS- with HAGLER out, he will start out the season as a starter, and looked very good, in limited play last year. GUZMAN- very good all around player, and a contributer on special teams. ..............CB-JACKSON-i am looking for a pro bowl year from him, very good all around cb. HAYDEN- still somewhat new to the  position, and will improve each year. HUGHES- has looked very good, and is a playmaker.  JENNINGS- quality cb, very athletic. RATLIFF-has had a great camp. RUSHING- has really improved as a cb, and a returner...........................S-SANDERS-on his way to being one of the best ever! BETHEA- only playing beside sanders has kept him somewhat under the radar, he did make the pro bowl, but this guy is a great player!!  GIORDANO- very good backup safety, a starter on any other team in the league.  CONDREN- another very good player, alot like giordano. BULLITT- doesnt get a lot of reps, but has looked good when he has. SILVA- great college playmaker, who will continue in the nfl...........................K-VINATIERI- the best clutch kicker in nfl history. P- SMITH- didnt have his best year , last year, but im looking for a much better year. LS-SNOW- another underated player, who has done a great job snapping for many years.  thats 53 players, i have to say it was tough getting down to 53 players, there are a lot of quality players, who i left out, and i know there are going to be surprises, its happens every year, some of these guys wont make it, and some others will. some of the guys who i feel have the best chance of either making the team, or the practice squad , and are usually younger players, are: RB-K.KEITH ( i think he is a very good rb, he did drop a few passes last year, but as a runner, he has a place in the league). C.SIMPSON- very fast. WR-D.AROMASHODU- it was very hard keeping him off. O.JONES- has looked very good in camp. OL- D.FEDERKEIL-another tough choice, has really improved, and is very versatile. M.TOUDOUZE- has been a solid backup for several years. DE- C.JOHNSON- another tough choice, good bet for practice squad, and a future player. LB-J.SENN- has made a ton of tackles this preseason. CB-B.FOSTER-has had a great camp, very good looking young player. S-A.SMITH- maybe the deepset position on the team, is the secondary. as i have mentioned several times this pre season, i cant remember a year, when we have been this deep, and every position, i feel bad for the guys who dont make it, but in the end, it makes us a better team..................GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!           p.s. feel free to debate these picks, i dont go to camp, and as of yet, dont recieve game films lol, so its just an educated guess

THOUGHTS ON THE COLTS/PANTHERS GAME

Categories: none selected
I TRIED REALLY HARD NOT TO READ TOO MUCH ABOUT THE GAME, SINCE I DIDNT GET TO SEE IT UNTIL 10PM SUNDAY NIGHT, WHICH, NEEDLESS TO SAY, IS NEAR IMPOSSIBLE, I ALREADY KNEW THE SCORE , BEFORE WATCHING THE GAME, BUT I DIDNT READ ANY OF THE ARTICLES POSTED UNTIL AFTER I WATCHED IT. THERE WERE SOME THINGS THAT DIDNT GO AS WELL AS WE WOULD HAVE LIKED, BUT I DONT THINK ITS A BIG DEAL, IT HAPPENS, THATS WHAT THE PRE SEASON IS ALL ABOUT, I THINK, AND I THINK THE COLTS FEEL THE SAME WAY, ITS ABOUT GETTING PLAYERS THE REPS THEY NEED TO GET READY FOR THE SEASON, LET YOUR YOUNG GUYS PLAY, AND SEE WHO THE BEST 53 PLAYERS ARE, IF WE WIN, ITS A BONUS. I SAW MORE OF WHAT I SAW IN THE FIRST GAME, I THINK GRAY IS A VERY GOOD QB, THOSE 2 PICKS WERENT GOOD, BUT AGAIN, HES NEW, AND IT HAPPENS. HART CAN PLAY FOOTBALL, I THINK THIS GUY IS GOING TO BE A VERY POPULAR PLAYER, IN INDY, I ALREADY LOVE HIM. ANOTHER GUY WHO MAY BECOME QUITE POPULAR , DUE TO HIS NAME, IS JACOB TAMME, THERE IS ENOUGH TAMMY'S (TAMS, AND CAMS) TO RENAME THE SITE TAMMY.NET LOL  HE LOOKED VERY GOOD. RAMON GUZMAN, WAS ALL OVER THE FIELD. I REALLY DONT THINK JONES (WR) WILL MAKE THE TEAM, BUT HE WAS MAKING GREAT CATCHES ALL NIGHT. I REALLY DONT NEED ANY HELP GET JACKED UP FOR THE SEASON, BUT I THINK THIS IS AS DEEP AS WE HAVE EVER BEEN, ALMOST EVERY POSITION, THERE IS AT LEAST 1, OR 2 PLAYERS, WHO WONT MAKE THE TEAM, WHO ARE QUALITY PLAYERS. WHICH I WILL GO INTO IN MORE DEPTH, IN THE NEAR FUTURE. IT WAS GREAT TO SEE MARV STARTING AGAIN, AND SPEAKING OF COMING BACK, THE TARGET DATE FOR FREENEY, AND SANDERS IS THE 15TH, AND THEY ARE EXPECTED TO BE PRACTICING BY THE END OF THE WEEK!! HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT WEEK.....GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!

COLTS HISTORY-2006 WORLD CHAMPIONS!!

this was an incredible year, i have been a colts fan since 1968, they were very good back then, but i was very young, and didnt apprciate it, like i do now. there were so many years, so many close calls, but all the wait till next years ended. those of you have been reading along, have seen then pieces put in place, year after year, adding another piece, this year, all those pieces came together.                                                                                      we had 3 new starters on offense, as an era came to an end  the edge wasnt resigned, we drafted a rb in the 1st round, joseph addai, and he teamed up with long time backup, dominic rhodes, dylan gandy at guard, and a new te-ben utecht. on defense robert mathis took over at de for raheem brock, who moved inside to dt, and anthony mcfarland was aquired in an in-season trade, who replaced corey simon, and a new safety-antoine bethea (6th round). we also signed a new kicker, in the off season, letting mike vanderjagt go, and getting adam vinatieri, and a former colt was re-signed to handle the returns-terrance wilkins. addai was the leading rusher (1081), marv in rec (95-1366),and td's (12), and robert mathis in sacks (9 1/2). peyton, marv, and reggie, glenn, and saturday made the pro bowl.                      the season started off with the manning bowl, as peytons brother , eli and the giants  came to town, and for the first time in league history 2 brothers were the starting qb's. in week #2, peyton passed johnny u. for all time club leader in pass completions. in week #8, the colts reversed a trend, defeating the patsies for the 2nd consectutive year, and marv became the all time colts leader in td's, the colts started out 9-0, before losing 21-14, in their 10th game. they finished the year 12-4, becoming the 2nd team in nfl history to post 4 consecutive years of at least 12 victories. some thing happened as the post season went on, the colts defense hadnt played particlary well vs the run during the season,  in the first playoff game a wildcard victory over the cheifs, the defense shut down one of the best running attacks in the league. their next opponent, was the ravens in baltimore, with the defense once again shutting down the running attack, we won , as adam kicked 5 field goals. in what has to be the best game i have ever witnessed in my life, the colts faced the patsies, in the afc championship game, in indy. the game started out as worst case scenario, and we fell behind by 18, with a 32 point second half, including an addai td run with a minute to go, we defeated the patsies 38-34. the feeling i felt when jackson intercepted brady , is indescribable, after 35 years, we were going to the super bowl, i still feel like that was the super bowl, the afc is far more talented than the nfc, and with the history between those 2 teams, it was an awesome feeling! never the less, it wasnt the big game, the colts went to miami, and faced the chicago bears, once again falling behind 14-6, the colts outscored the bears 23-3 , the rest of the way, when kelvin hayden interecepted a pass, and took it in for a td, we knew we were going to be the world champions, peyton won the m.v.p award, and we will never forget the post game festivities during those 2 games, as our guys got that championship. tony and peyton holding up the lombardi trophy, after years of hearing how they couldnt win the big game , all the players, and families, and fans, celebrating, all the hard work, all the class, and respect these guys play with, what a very special year, for the team, the fans, and the city.

the nfl is cracking down on bad behavior

i have only been to 1 nfl game, and it wasnt in indy, and i am sure its better there than at most stadiums. the nfl is cracking down on unacceptable behavior, with the emphasis on 1. intoxication 2. unruly, disruptive, or illegal behavior 3. foul or abusive language, or obscene gestures 4. interference of the game (throwing things on the field) 5. verbal or physical harrasment of the opposing teams fans. one team, the dolphins, have even set it up, so you can call or text security from your seat. i have heard many stories of some very unruly fans, and i am glad to see the commissioner is cracking down on it. the results can range from denied entrance to the stadium, ejection from the stadium, and stripping of season tickets. i am curious also, seeing how great the local fans are on this site, and i know a lot of you have been to some, if not many colts games, how would you rate the fans, i know there are always going to be a few , that ruin it for everyone else,  the booing of brandon stockley comes to mind.  are they for the most part, respectfull? i would have to think they are, but would like to hear your thoughts.                                                                                       the answers for the surveys are: dickerson was the 2nd overall pick in the 1st round in 1983 by the rams, he was born in texas, and played college at s.m.u.......................... faulk was also the 2nd overall pick in the first round in 1994 by the colts, he was born in louisianna, and played college at san diego state. hope you all are having a great week, this is for you daddyj.................LETS GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I AM SURE SOME OF YOU ARE AWARE OF THIS, AND SOME , MAYBE NOT. I HAVE HEARD ABOUT IT, IT SEEMED LIKE EVERY YEAR WHO EVER MADE THE COVER OF THE MADDEN FOOTBALL GAME, ITS SOME OF  GAMEBOY-LIKE THING, GUESS THAT TELLS YOU WHAT AGE BRACKET I AM IN LOL WOULD BE CURSED. ITS LIKE THE SPORTS ILLUSTRATED CURSE, I AM NOT SUPERSTITUOUS, I DONT WEAR THE SAME CLOTHES WHEN THE COLTS PLAY, OR EAT THE SAME FOOD, WELL, I DO EAT THE SAME FOOD, BUT NOT FOR THAT REASON LOL ANYWAYS, I WAS FAMILIAR WITH IT, AND THERE WAS A WRITE UP ABOUT IT IN THE USA TODAY, ITS PRETTY BIZARRE. IN '00 IT WAS BARRY SANDERS-RESULT: RETIRED BEFORE THE SEASON......01-EDDIE GEORGE-ACTUALLY HAD A GOOD YEAR, OTHER THAN A KEY FUMBLE IN A PLAYOFF LOSS.......02-DANTE CULPEPPER-HAD SEASON ENDING KNEE SURGERY.......03-MARSHALL FAULK-ANKLE INJURY, AND NEVER GAINED 1,000 YARDS RUSHING AGAIN........04-MICHAEL VICK-BROKE HIS LEG IN THE PRE SEASON......05-RAY LEWIS,NOT TOO BIZARRE-HAD NO INTERCEPTIONS THAT YEAR...06-DONAVAN MCNABB-HERNIA INJURY........07-SHAUN ALEXANDER-BROKEN FOOT.........NO, THERE IS NOT A COLT ON THE COVER, THIS YEAR, ITS BRETT FAVRE, WHICH I DONT QUITE UNDERSTAND, SINCE HE WAS SUPPOSSED TO BE RETIRED, MAYBE THEY KNEW SOMETHING. THAT GOT ME TO THINKING, DO ANY OF YOU HAVE A RITUAL, SOMETHING YOU DO EVERY WEEK, TO ENSURE VICTORY LOL
