warm memories of Green Bay
I was sitting mid field December 31, 1967 wishing I was anyplace elce on this planet -preferably some place warm- it was cold, damp, windy, and just plain miserable -and New Year's Eve yet to boot- As if it couldn't get any worse, it started to snow and snow and followed by more snow . They brought 20 men with snowblowers and lined them up elbow to elbow to sweep the field clean and five yards behind where theey wer walking the snow had already blanketed the ground again. The snow was miserable but the cold was something else- a bone chilling, teeth chattering cold. One by one the vendors disappeared and as we huddled together with complete strangers, anyone who didn't have a thermos of coffee or hot chocolate was out of luck-not that it mattered, by the time you had finished the cup it was cold and there was snow floating on the top- There was a fleeting moment of clear thought when I was tempted to get up and head back to the warmth of the motel but this WAS the game of the year, my super hunk boyfriend was a huge fan this was for his birthday and we had paid12 dollars each for th...Read

| About Me |
|
Who am I??==I'm cheryl- mother of six, stepmother to that many and adopted mother, sister, friend confidant, aunt, Godmother, personal coach and a lose-10-pounds-in-10-days diet failure. I'm a cheerleader, thrill seeker, hard rock lovin, roller blading bungee jumpin, motorcycle driving grandmother. I'm a camper, a dog lover, a vet, a survivor and yes, it's true--I really can't drive 55. What I am here is a COLTS fan--I"m old school Colts fan- I yelled for the team back in the lean ole days --before the team was hott and being a Colts fan was cool

around the tailgaters right before a game, around a campfire rehashing a game weeks or months later

| What I do... |

Camping, fishing and volunteer work (I believe people should give back for all their blessings) and support with work and funds, Habitat, Feed the Children and animal rescue (where I found my wonderful companions, Peyton Weiner and Marvin Mastiff and Winston ) I try to see as many COLTS and Pacer Games every year as time and funds allow

when you have to drive 700 miles to Indy to watch a home game, that qualifies as a vacation--when they win, that's a great vacation

| If I could go anywhere, I would go to... |

that's an easy one- I'd make the rounds with Tony, Marvin and Peyton at the local children's hospital and veteran's hospital and watch the faces light up
