How Good Are The Saints?

We're down to two undefeated teams in the NFL after this weekend's games...the Saints and our Colts.

I watched the first half last night and see so many similarities between these two teams.  Very potent offenses with lots of weapons for the quarterbacks, and defenses that can make big plays and keep themselves in the game.  The one advantage the Saints have is a stronger running game.  They can throw 3 very good running backs at a defense and from what I saw, they all have the ability to break big runs at anytime.  They appear to have more speed than our backs and Bell and Thomas really explode to the hole once they get the ball.

Both teams have a lot of very good receivers, and they both have excellent tight ends.  I know they don't play each other during the regular season, but if things go as they have thus far, we may be looking at a Saints-Colts Super Bowl...now wouldn't that be a match-up!!!!

I know we need to take things one game at a time, but the prospect of that Super Bowl match-up is so interesting and exciting.  We shall see what happens, but I am very impressed with New Orleans and I know they have the most favorable schedule the rest of the season.  Their upcoming opponents combined winning percentage is around .350, so they could be looking at running the table.  The biggest hurdle in their schedule is New England, but I can't see that defense stopping or even slowing down Drew Brees and his offense.

The Saints are a good offensive team. And they can get some pressure on the quarterback. But that defense isnt that great. They can be scored on at will.

I think that numbers wise their offense is in the same league as the colts, but if you watch their games they just don't have the efficiency that the Colts have. PLUS, I feel like Darren Sharper has scored at least a touchdown in every game this season...that kind of inflates the scores of their games...

If you watched closely each time the Falcons Offense was up they scored on the Saints D. Not saying the Saints are horrible etc. Just they have a pretty big window there.

Is it Colston that is their MAN BEAST! That's the guy to worry about, I'm glad we added big boys to our Offense lol

What irks me is the little respect Indy still gets media wise.... Last night they showed that approx 90% of the country would vote for a Saints win if we played them in the Super Bowl.

On NFL.com as we type ppl are voting that the Saints will remain undefeated longer then Indy.

REEEEEEEEEALLY??

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEALLY ?

Last nights game was AWESOME and I thought the same thing - a Colts vs Saints Super Bowl is a very likely scenario !!  The Saints defense is #1 in the nfl.com fantasy football rankings !!  I know I was guilty of assuming this was the Saints defense of old - let me assure you - it is NOT !!  Geeked

I think the game last night proved that they can be beaten.  It wasn't the blow out that was being predicted, that is for sure!

LETS GO COLTS!

hlr0707: I agree.... it was a very tight game.... no one team really dominated, errors made scores.....
