The Associated Press is reporting that the Seattle Seahawks released RB Edgerrin James today !!
James played 7 games as a backup to RB Julius Jones. James had only 46 carries for 125 yards and no scores this season - averaging just 2.7 yards per carry.
In his last appearance Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys - James gained 17 yards to pass Marcus Allen for 10th place on the NFL's all-time rushers list with a total of 12,246 yards.
Is it just me...or does it seem like Seattle has become the place where great running backs are relegated to the scrapheap for various reasons? First Alexander, and now "Edge" !
Wow never saw that coming....... Hope he will land somewhere.....
I hope the Edge gets a really good offer from someone who has lost one of their 1st line backs to a season ending injury. I believe he has several years of productivity left. He is a class act and any team and the NFL should be proud to have him. Hang in there Edge.
Maybe we can have him back?????
The value of consistent prayer is not that He will hear us, but that we will hear Him.Jesus is Lord, what else do you need to know?
Wow!!!! That just brakes my heart. It almost sounds like his heart was into playing with the seahawks. I wonder who will pick him up now. Any suggestions?
If James still wants to play he'll be on a team somewhere.
Good luck to Edge!
Goodluck Edge wherever you go.....Because i always like you..
Best wishes, Edge! I hope you find another team soon!
So sad I met him the night before the Colts / Hawk game, such a sweet person, I wish him the best
good luck to him... i figured this could happen he didnt start 1 game there
LETS GO COLTS!
Wow I sure hate to hear that !!! Good Luck Edge, wherever you land :)
Edge was released from seattle yesterday.I believe he's only about 30 or 40 yards behind Marshall F. in rushing yards all-time.Would love to see him break that record before he's done.As long as it isn't against the colts.Good luck to him.
Sorry to see that happen to a great running back. He's in the top 10 all-time in rushing yards, not sure if he'll be a candidate for the Hall of Fame, but he'll always hold special place in Colts history and in the hearts of Colts fans. I was so impressed by the tribute he was given when Seattle played us earlier this season. Really showed the class of the organization and fans, and I know he really appreciated it very much.
